Parks of Nature in Croatia

Visit the turquoise waters of Plitvička jezera, walk along the Paklenica Canyon, enjoy the waterfalls of Krka, sail by ship along the Zrmanja canyon and visit Velebit.

First Day
Arrival by plane to Croatia. Departure for Plitvička jezera, with a stop in Rastoke, a small picturesque village on the river Korana and a visit to the Barac-Caves. Continuing by bus towards the Park of Nature Plitvička jezera.
Accommodation in the hotel.

Second Day
Visiting the Upper and the Lower Lakes in Plitvička Jezera. This is a unique wonder of nature, under UNESCO protection - enjoy the turquoise waters of the lakes, deep forests and waterfalls.

Third Day
Transfer by bus to Starigrad, Park of Nature Paklenica, containing the most attractive parts of the South Velebit, the highest Croatian mountain, including its highest peaks. Through forest we reach a mountain refuge and return on the path with views of the coast. Arrival to Starigrad, Paklenica, accommodation in the hotel.

Fourth Day
Visiting National park Paklenica. The main attraction of the park are two impressive canyons - Velika and Mala Paklenica, cut deeply into the mountain from the sea up almost to its top. Among the steep cliffs is the Anića Kuk, the most popular destination of Croatian alpinists. A climb to the Manita- Cave, 175 m long divided into two halls with a lot of stalagmites and stalactites. After the cave we shall continue our walk to the forestranger cottage and the Mountaineer Hut. It is a part of wild nature where we can enjoy the wilderness the whole day.

Fifth Day
In the early morning hours, bus transfer to the Park of Nature Krka. The river Krka enters the sea next to the Dalmatian city of Šibenik. Before meeting the sea, the river creates wonderful waterfalls and you will walk along it on the paths and bridges, visit by ship the island of Visovac with a monastery. Return to the hotel in Starigrad where we shall spend the night.

Sixth Day
Free day or a light walk till Mirila, a burial memorial site made in stone.

Seventh Day
Mountain-climbing tour to Sveto Brdo the highest peak in Croatia. We are brought to the starting point by cars in order to continue on foot to the highest peak of the mountain Velebit. A picnic in nature is included.

Eighth Day
Transfer to Zagreb airport. Return home.
